After getting a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Louisiana State University, Jim Vollmer migrated to Seattle where he started Just Imagine Glass. Jim has participated in the American Craft Council, Philadelphia Museum and Smithsonian Museum shows. He has also exhibited at the Bellevue Art Museum show, winning two “Awards of Excellence”, and in 2004 was a “NICHE” award finalist. Locally he exhibits at Vetri International.

In the Pattern Bar class, students will learn how to design, build, and use pattern bars to create professional quality fused glass pieces. Students will build three pattern bar tiles to use in their projects and learn how to cold work the pieces throughout the process. Jim will teach you how to create pattern designs on paper and he will critique the designs. Jim Vollmer is a gifted artist and his award-winning pattern bar creations are amazing!
