Metal Clay Jewelry Workshop

Sculpt custom metal jewelry with your bare hands and get on board the craze for funky base metal jewelry!  In week one you’ll learn how to mix your choice of copper or bronze clay powder into charms and pendants.  In week two we’ll finish the pieces and discuss the technical aspects of firing all types of metal clay.  In week three you’ll learn hollow form construction to make lentil beads and other hollow forms.  In week four learn how to color to your pieces and finish your projects.  Fifty grams of copper or bronze powder is included—enough to make five or more pieces.  All tools supplied but feel free to bring your own rubber stamps, texture sheets, found objects, etc. for texturing and decorating the clay.  Additional clay will be available for purchase from the instructor.  Please have $85 in exact change for the instructor and materials fees.  Four Wednesday evenings 10/9/13 thru 10/30/13 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.  Go to http://www.co.ocean.nj.us/ocparks/ to register.
